Applied Behavior Center for Autism was founded in April 2004 by Hyndi Khomutetsky, MS, BCBA and Bobbi Barber, MS, BCBA. Together they have a combined 21 years experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. They both have backgrounds in the public school system, in-home private therapy, out-patient treatment centers and residential facilities.

Applied Behavior Center for Autism was founded on the principle that not every child learns in the same way. Through careful observation and interaction with each child, a determination of the best way to teach them, based on their individual learning styles, is established. The program is unique in that the Individual Learning Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans are developed and maintained by a Masters Level Behavior Analyst and implemented by trained behavior therapists. Our Behavior Analysts are on site daily, provide direct program oversight, train therapists and lead weekly staff training sessions.

Each child is given the attention they need and deserve.

Behavior Therapists

Every behavior therapist at Applied Behavior Center for Autism receives training prior to working with students in the areas of basic Applied Behavior Analysis, introductory Verbal Behavior and ethical and professional conduct. Once that training has been completed, therapists then begin their hands-on training in the classrooms with the children. This training is administered and overseen by the center directors and/or the center program coordinator.

Training and supervision for all staff is ongoing. Staff participate in weekly staff meetings and ongoing education training throughout the year.

Administration highly encourage therapist to complete state requirements to become a Certified Associate Behavior Analyst but it is not required.

Staff is not hired based on race, age, national or ethical origin but on education, experience and ability to perform stated duties. For further information on hiring policies and procedure see center directors.

if I treat you as though you are what you are capable of becoming, I help you become that.
